Gold toning is a highly effective treatment that employs laser wavelength to reduce this vascular redness and inflammation.
Mechanism of action
The redness of the skin is generally due to enlarged tiny blood vessels in the skin. In gold toning, the affected areas are treated with the gold-tone laser beam, the laser energy is absorbed by hemoglobin within these enlarged blood vessels resulting in minimizing the abnormal effect of the enlarged blood vessels. The basic principle of gold toning is not to destroy the abnormal blood vessels rather the laser helps in normalizing the effect of the abnormal blood vessels and thus resulting in a healthy state of the skin.
Gold toning technique uses 595nm wavelength which targets mainly hemoglobin. Gold toning can also be combined with skin tone clarity which further helps in improving post-acne skin discoloration. This technique targets skin lesions and also helps to normalize the skin tissues which are bordering these skin lesions.
Microneedling is the process of using very small needles on the skin for collagen induction. Traditional micro needling utilizes a dermaroller and is not associated with a light or energy device. A combination of these two is known as micro needling radiofrequency(MNRF).
